Turkey’s Besiktas Shipyard has secured orders for five tugs from two different owners.

Three of the 13 bollard tonne units will be pieced together forcompatriot STFA.

Subsidiary Besiktas Workboats will hand one of those overfrom its stock within two months for work in Morocco.

STFA will operate the remaining two in Kuwait when they aredelivered in July.

Another pair of the TB1505 tugs will be built for a Libyanoperator, the yard said in a statement.

Besiktas currently has an orderbook comprised of fourseismic support ships for Faroe Islands-based Thor for delivery by the end ofnext year.

Turkey’s Palmali also has three 4,000-dwt platform supplyvessels and a pair of 7,000-dwt chemical carriers on order at the yard.
